Dominic Tam Physiotherapy is a private physiotherapy clinic and therefore Dominic only sees private clients. A referral is NOT necessary. However, in order to provide a quality service, you are required to ring up for an appointment.
Due to excessive administrative formalities, Dominic has ceased to see compensable patients since 2006.
Yes, our service is covered by most private health insurance policies with ancillary cover. We have a HICAPS machine available which allows you to claim your private health insurance benefits on the spot, meaning you only need to pay the gap difference over the counter.
The initial consultation takes about 30 to 40 minutes. This includes a detailed assessment and treatment/ management plan. The subsequent consultation takes about 20 to 30 minutes. This includes reassessment and treatment. Another appointment will be needed if some of your problems cannot be dealt with in the allocated time.
The type of treatment depends on the nature of the condition. Dominic Tam Physiotherapy is equipped to provide all modern electrotherapy modalities including interferential stimulation, ultrasound, laser, heat/cold and traction treatment. However, physiotherapy is not limited to applying electrotherapy only. Dominic has extensive experience in manual therapy and in many instances such as neck and back pain; manual therapy alone provides the best outcome of management. Dominic will always apply the most appropriate combination of electrotherapy and manual therapy as indicated by your condition.
Yes. Exercise is an integral part of treating and managing most musculoskeletal problems. As Dominic has post graduate training in strength and conditioning, he will instruct you on the appropriate exercise programme for treatment and maintenance.
